Day Hike to Nesika Lodge (Class C hike - 10 miles, 2600 ft gain)

Greetings -
We will be hiking up to Nesika Lodge, checking on trails along the way.
Starting from Multnomah Falls parking lot, we will head over to Wahkeena Trail and head up to the Basin Rd. We will hike the Basin Rd to Nesika Lodge.
There will likely be snow/slush along the way.
Free hike for TCO members and non-members.
We shall only hike on USFS trails that are open. At this time, Wahkeena and Larch Mtn trails are open, with passable obstacles.
We shall eat a brief lunch at Nesika Lodge. The lodge is not open this weekend, so please bring your own lunch.
BRING MICROSPIKES and expect walking in some snow.
Distance: 10-12 miles-ish
Elevation gain: 2600 ft-ish (could be more if trails are closed)
Meetup: In front of Multnomah Lodge bathrooms
When: 745am Meetup. We shall start hiking 8am sharp.
Pass: Two parking options: 1) No pass nor fee needed if parking in the I84 highway parking lot. 2) The second option is parking at the Rt 30 parking immediately across the street from Multnomah Lodge at $20/day.
We shall hike through the High Water Trail, the Cougar Rock trail and the Ornament Trail.
Well behaved pets are welcome on this hike. Well behaved humans also welcome!
Please wear hiking boots, suitable socks, winter gloves and rain/snow gear. Hiking poles recommended.
Estimated return time is a rough estimate only. If you wish to head back early and know your way back, that is fine - please let CraigG know your plan to separate from the main group.
