Volunteer Weekend at Nesika Lodge

Calling all volunteers! Our lodge needs help with:

• Replenishing the wood supply by hauling, splitting and stacking wood. No experience necessary.
• Planning the electrical system of the dorm.
• Installing corrugated roofing over the barbecue.
• Removal and installation of siding on the dorm.
• Planting and watering new saplings.
• Cooking for the crew Saturday and Sunday morning (planning, purchasing and cooking meals)

Bring work gloves, sturdy boots and rain gear.

Or, just come and enjoy the scenery with good company and hike the nearby trails (day and overnight fees apply).

We will meet at the forestry gate on Larch Mountain Road, milepost 10 (from Corbett, drive 2 miles east on Route 30, take the right fork up Larch Mountain Road, go 10 miles and park at the gate). We will meet at 9 am Saturday March 28th. AWD vehicles can drive in to the lodge, others will carpool from inside the gate.

Meals will be provided for volunteers.

Sorry, no hot showers available, though water and outhouses are. A dorm is available with cots- bring a sleeping bag.
