Calling all volunteers! No fees if you chip in!
Our lodge needs (no experience necessary) help with:

  • Road Clearing (bring chain saw and brush cutters).
  • Replenishing the wood supply by hauling, splitting and stacking wood. No experience necessary.
  • Planning the electrical system of the dorm.
  • Clearing blackberry vines out of established beds near Lodge.
  • Installing corrugated roofing over the barbecue.
  • Removal and installation of siding on the dorm.
  • Weeding, Planting and watering new saplings.

Bring work gloves, sturdy boots and rain gear.
Or, just come and enjoy the scenery with good company and hike the nearby trails (day and overnight fees apply).

We will meet at the forestry gate on Larch Mountain Road (see Google Maps lat/long below), milepost 10 (from Corbett, drive 2 miles east on Route 30, take the right fork up Larch Mountain Road, go 10 miles and park at the gate).

We will meet at 9 am on Saturday. AWD vehicles can drive in to the lodge, others will carpool from inside the gate.

Let us know If you have an AWD vehicle or need a lift from the gate.

Meals will be provided for volunteers (fees apply for non volunteers).

A dorm is available with cots- bring a sleeping bag, or bring your tent.
