I recently found myself at odds with a being at work. As she expressed her disdain towards me, my heart starts to race and my throat burns like fire. (It’s my body’s response to anger and defense) I took a slow breath and my awareness kicked in. I remembered 1 of “The 4 Agreements”-Don’t Take Anything Personally. I was able to separate the issue from the human being and see the person as myself. This allowed me to have more compassion and loosen my defense. This gave room for more understanding and peace (which is vital to my journey). Afterwards , I dismissed any negative energy that dangled around from the situation. I’m grateful I conducted myself in a manner that displayed genuine love and ease.. this time LOL. Seriously, I truly want to show up as love in any situation. I affirm that “IAM love and love is all I give”. Since affirming, it sometimes feel as if I’m being tested. May I continue to pass with ease. So how do you handle offense? Regardless of which side of the fence you’re on. Let’s empower ourselves and each other through love and discussion.
