#### Salon, in this context, is “a social gathering, often in a private home, where a select group of people with shared intellectual or artistic interests come together to engage in lively conversation. These gatherings, historically popular in 17th-century France, were typically hosted by wealthy socially-influential women (known as salonnières). They served as cultural hubs for the spread of new ideas.”
But! Don’t feel pressured to be intellectual or a fount of ‘lively conversation’ ! Because our host Harley certainly isn’t a wealthy, socially-influential French woman!
The main point is to chat for an hour about one topic, attempting to share the talking time roughly equally.
