## About Karla

My spiritual metamorphosis from Karla to Kaia began in my early years. As a child, I possessed acute sensitivity and empathy, accompanied by a profound awareness of the ethereal energies surrounding me. A traumatic childhood experience introduced me to curanderos, igniting my devotion to the divine and the enigmas of the unknown. While grappling to comprehend the reasons certain places or individuals drained my vitality or why I frequently succumbed to illness, these challenges served to deepen my connection with the spiritual realm.

​Growing up in Peru, I endured severe asthma attacks that necessitated frequent hospitalizations and visits to herbal shops. My family's fervent quest for healing exposed me to diverse spiritual and natural remedies, further solidifying my bond with the divine. These arduous experiences not only reinforced my desire for healing but also kindled a deep aspiration to assist others. Witnessing the harsh realities of poverty and the scarcity of medical assistance in my homeland inspired me to give back to my community.

My life took a pivotal turn when I emigrated to the United States, where I embraced a novel culture and way of life. This transition, though replete with challenges, became a profound cornerstone in my spiritual journey. During this time, I was also introduced to spiritism, which played a pivotal role in my spiritual development. Despite my academic achievements in Biology and Environmental Science, I always felt an inexplicable void. My true calling as a healer became apparent when I realized that my path lay not in conventional medicine but in the spiritual and unseen realms.

In the early 2000s, I immersed myself in the study of energy transmutation and metaphysics, culminating in my ordination as a priestess in the Yoruba tradition of Regla de Osha (Omo Obatalá) in 2006. This initiation enhanced my inherent gifts for channeling and mediumship, leading me to explore Reiki and energy healing. Over the past 22 years, I have dedicated myself to mastering these spiritual practices, which now encompass clairvoyance, ceremonial facilitation, intuitive counseling, teaching, and more.

As my journey continues, I remain steadfast in honoring my abilities, utilizing them to guide and support others while maintaining an enduring connection with the divine and the unseen world that has always been an intrinsic part of my existence.
