Merry Bus-Go-Round!
Details
Our local bus ecosystem will change this summer, with some new routes established, some old routes abandoned, some stops eliminated--and brand new names for all the lines!
But one thing won't change: the heavy, regular service on essential trunk roads like Wisconsin Avenue and North Capitol Street. So let's celebrate the continuity of Metrobus by touring the city in a broad circle on three of those workhorse routes: the 30s, the E4 and the 80s.
Bonus: travel bingo cards will be distributed for those who want even more from their transit outing!
The adventure will start and end at the south side (Eye Street) of McPherson Square in downtown D.C. We'll gather at the stop serving the 30s buses. When we get back, we'll eat lunch at the Potbelly Sandwich Shop off the north end of the square.
NOTE EARLIER STARTING TIME: For the first time in TEDC history, we are meeting as early as 11 AM. The goal is to prevent participants getting hungry and cranky for lunch. :-)
