Transit Techies #18: Improving Usability of the MTA's Elevator Outage Data

Details
We are back at Pier57 at Chelsea Piers! Thank you Google!
Currently, the current accessibility map is static, for example.
I, with the help of Transit Techies data scientist Sarah Sachs, will present a prototype for a routing algorithm that takes into account the holistic customer experiences during an elevator outage. And we'll open source it as Transit Techies' first project together!
Additionally, we'll explore and answer the following and more:
1. Step-by-step guide on accessing real-time E&E data (hint: it's not on NYC Open Data like a lot of the other sources are)
2. What are the errors and discrepancies in the data, and why?
3. Presenting feedback from what policy advisors recommended
The end goal, hopefully, is an open source Transit Techies map that we can all contribute to to make navigating elevator outages easier.
Looking forward to seeing you!
