TransitieCinema: Climate Change - The Facts

Details

TransitieCinema invites you for our screening of "Climate Change - The Facts" and "Make The World Greta Again" on November 8th in Het Nutshuis.

We have two climate change related movies this evening, both screened at het Nutshuis in separate rooms. You can choose to either get climate science facts straight from David Attenborough, or to learn more about the Fridays for the Future movement of school children strikes inspired by Greta Thunberg.

We have both a workshop and a Q&A with local activists of Fridays for the Future and Extinction Rebellion planned afterwards. More details are in the schedule below.

SYNOPSIS of "Climate Change: The Facts":
In this recent 2019 movie, after one of the hottest years on record, Sir David Attenborough looks at the science of climate change and potential solutions to this global threat. Interviews with some of the world’s leading climate scientists explore recent extreme weather conditions such as unprecedented storms and catastrophic wildfires. They also reveal what dangerous levels of climate change could mean for both human populations and the natural world in the future. But also the possibilities for prevention and the necessary radical political, social and cultural change.
