Session 2 - Value Propositions in Software Development

Details

Hello!
Briefly, in last month's meeting, we reviewed some of the challenges in defining a tech career path, from choosing the best role to strategically navigating future assignments after landing that first new tech job. Too many options-what's right for me?

Join us to craft a curated, informed path that successfully navigates all the stops along the way:

  1. Find which skills can you port to a new or better tech career
  2. Identify your best software team role
  3. Select the best training and get real world practice
  4. Build a portfolio or resume before you have that job
  5. Define your brand and prep for job search
  6. Find a first job
  7. Grow your career mindfully

How? In upcoming sessions we'll:

  • Introduce a key role or concept and practice through a product team simulation
  • Assess where you are and get help about what you need next
  • Be part of our community to get help with questions, networking, or mentoring.

February's Focus:
Key Concept: Product Value Propositions
Assess Yourself: Using Bloom's Taxonomy of Skills
Session Wrap: Let's continue to network and share, and of course help each other if we are stuck
