Cool Mobility Apps: October Edition

For October, we'll be discussing three tech projects and their impact on local transportation issues. Doors open at 6:00 with pizza and drinks, and the presentations start at 6:30.

• Trevor Gerhardt of Conveyal (http://conveyal.com/) will show us their Transit Tech Initiative (http://mobilitylab.org/transit-tech/) with Arlington County, specifically the "evaluating a commute" portion of the program.

• Chase Donnelly and Peter Mazzeo will demo their new Boontrek (http://boontrek.com/) app, which creates a community marketplace for ride sharing.

• Peter Shashkin and Vitaliy Fedonkin from EastBanc Technologies (http://www.eastbanctech.com/) will show us TransitIQ, which analyzes transit data, detecting anomalies, bus bunching, and more. EastBanc works with SmarTrip cards and is the company behind developer.wmata.com (http://developer.wmata.com/).
