Metro Hack Night is a show & tell of Metro-related apps and data visualizations. Thanks to Metrobar for hosting us. Doors open at 6:00, and the program kicks off at 6:30.

Contact Michael if you have coded a project about Metro(rail), using their API, open data sets, or any other data you can find. To build your own Metro apps, hacks, and visualizations, find WMATA's open data via the Ridership Data Portal or use their developer tools.

Our speakers thus far are:
โ“‚๏ธ Sal Zahedi and Michael Eichler: how WMATA used an obscure dataset for bus priority planning
โ“‚๏ธ Cole McCarren, Mike Helta, and Tanay Gupta: Public GTFS-RT feed for the Baltimore Metro
โ“‚๏ธ Michael Perkins: Raspberry pi screen for the WMATA API
โ“‚๏ธ Michael Johnson: Julia package for interacting with WMATA's API
โ“‚๏ธ Matthew Stevenson: Video game transit maps
