🦝 LAST-MINUTE CLEANUP + BRUNCH — TOMORROW!
I’m getting this one out way later than I normally would — to be clear, I’m the one posting last minute! Our partners in crime (uhhh… anti-crime?) organized this event much earlier. As you may have noticed, I’ve been a little less active organizing cleanups this season. It’s been a busy one, and I’m especially grateful for folks like our friend Paul from @ipickupworcesterlitterverywell, Worcester Green Corps, and Worcester’s neighborhood associations who keep the litter-cleanup wheels turning around the city.
Tomorrow morning, Paul and crew are tackling Lincoln Street, and we’re going to jump in!
📅 Saturday, August 29
🗑️ Cleanup: 9–11ish AM
📍 Meet at St. Bernard’s Church — 228 Lincoln St.
🍳 Trash Talk brunch: ~11 AM @ Salt & Pepper Diner
The larger cleanup runs from 9–12, but I’m planning for any Trash Talk crew to peel off around 11 and head to Salt & Pepper for some post-trash brunch.
If S&P is too crowded, we can always grab food to go and head over to Green Hill Park to enjoy it!
Come for as much or as little of the cleanup as you can. I’ll bring disposable gloves, extra pickers, and cloth gloves for our crew.
And genuinely, thank you to Paul and everyone else who has kept showing up and doing the work this season — and to any of the TT crew who can rally on very short notice and join tomorrow. I appreciate y’all.
And if tomorrow is just way too last-minute: I’m putting a hold on the calendar for our next Trash Talk event on Saturday, October 3! 🦝 More details to come, but hopefully that gives everyone a little more warning this time.
Hope to see y’all tomorrow — or in October!
