What we’re about
City.Zen is an initiative led by the International Psychosocial Organization (IPSO) Berlin, dedicated to building trauma-sensitive, inclusive communities among migrants. The project facilitates psychoeducation workshops, art activities, support groups, and dialogues that foster healing, understanding, and social cohesion. By creating safe and supportive spaces, City.Zen aims to improve mental health, strengthen community bonds, and promote resilience within migrant populations.
Community work is essential for the mental health of migrants, as it creates safe spaces where individuals can share their experiences, find support, and rebuild a sense of belonging. This helps to alleviate feelings of isolation, reduce stress, and foster resilience in the face of displacement and trauma. By strengthening local connections and promoting open dialogue, City.Zen aims to support migrant well-being and contribute to a more compassionate, integrated neighborhood.
The events are offered in five languages: Farsi/Dari, Arabic, English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
