The Travel Exchange: Get travel tips, Swap stories, Connect with other travelers

Join us for a fun and interactive evening designed to connect travels in a new way! Whether you’ve been around the world or are just dreaming of your next trip, this unique Travel & Culture Group event is all about sharing experiences, trading tips, and meeting others with a passion for travel and culture.

This month, we’re doing something different from our usual speaker format... Instead of a formal presentation, we're doing The Travel Exchange! This event will focus on group storytelling and conversations, sharing our own travel experiences. We'll have a list of travel questions to get the conversation flowing, and anyone can answer! Here are just a few I might ask (in case you want a heads up on what stories you might want to share):

• What destination completely surprised you (in a good or bad way)?
• Have you ever visited one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and what did you think?
• What country do you keep going back to, and why?
• Have you ever visited a tribe or indigenous group?
• What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten, and where?
• What’s the riskiest or scariest thing you’ve ever done while traveling?
• What’s the most remote place you’ve been?
• What’s the most amazing/craziest animal encounter you’ve had while traveling?
• What’s your favorite museum in the world, and why?
• What’s the most lost you’ve ever gotten on a trip?
• What travel item do you swear by and never leave home without?

To wrap up our evening, the last 20 minutes of the event will be an open forum for travel questions and tips. If you have a trip coming up, bring a couple of questions—whether it’s about packing, destinations, logistics, or hidden gems. Those who’ve been to that destination can jump in and offer advice, and answer your travel questions :)

This event is for anyone who loves travel and/or culture — whether you’re a daydreamer, seasoned globetrotter, a casual vacationer, or someone just beginning to explore the world. All are welcome.

Schedule:
6:30 PM: Social time – Grab a drink, mingle, and meet fellow travelers
7 PM: The Travel Exchange begins (swap stories & travel tips)
8 PM-ish: Event finishes

Also, don't forget our exciting new venue! This event is at the German American Society, which is opening just for our Travel & Culture Group. We’ll have plenty of parking, and a variety of drinks for purchase (including imported German beer, a variety of spirits, and refreshing non-alcoholic options). Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
