Greenland Unveiled: A Rare Look at Life, Travel & Tradition in the Far North

We’re thrilled to welcome Julia (a well known world traveler) as our special guest for this month’s Travel & Culture Group event! Julia lives in PA and works in the travel industry and specializes in adventure destinations around the world. She’s flying to Omaha just to meet our group and to give a presentation about her recent journey to one of the most remote and breathtaking places on Earth—Greenland!

Julia recently returned from a two-week expedition with HX Expeditions through northwest Greenland, one of the hardest places to travel to on Earth. She explored far-flung communities, connected with local Inuit culture, and experienced landscapes that few travelers ever get the chance to see. From 24-hour daylight to wide-open wilderness and wildlife sightings, her journey was filled with moments that can’t be found in guidebooks. With vivid photos and captivating stories, Julia will take us inside a destination that’s still largely unknown—and show us what it’s like to travel where few have gone.

We’ll also be answering questions about our own Travel & Culture Group trip to Greenland with HX Expeditions, following the exact same route that Julia just took. Our group trip is set for July 17 to August 2, 2026, and will be an unforgettable chance for members of the Travel & Culture Group to experience one of the last great frontiers before it changes. We’ll have plenty of parking, a variety of drinks for purchase (including imported German beer, and a variety of spirits, and refreshing non-alcoholic options).
