What we’re about
Travel Companions for Seniors is a group for 60+ Seniors who love to travel. Members may be seeking a travel companion(s), information and/or advice, or simply friendship with like-minded people.
- Most members of this travel group are retired while a few are still in the workforce. The common connection is the enjoyment of travel.
- Membership provides an opportunity to enjoy weekends away, mid-month lunches, outings and a monthly Sunday meeting in the city.
- It is not a travel agency. If a weekend away or group holiday is planned, the organisers post details of the event on the website, but members are expected to organize their own travel arrangements.
- An annual membership fee of $10.00 is due on joining. Membership is from 1 January to 31 December.
- There is a monthly newsletter where you can ask travel questions, share your travel stories and/or photographs, and read about other members' adventures.
- The primary reason for members to be involved within the group is to become known and familiar with each other through social interaction at meetups.
- If, after 3 months, you have not attended a monthly meeting, been in touch with an organiser, or paid the membership fee, it will be assumed you do not wish to remain in the group, and you will be taken off the membership list. You are welcome to rejoin later.
