ITINERARY
Day 1
Sydney to Sri Lanka
Arrival and assistance at the airport.
DAY 2
St Mary’s Church with its exterior surface painted in pink is one of the largest Roman Catholic cathedrals in Sri Lanka

Angurukaramulla Temple, Temple road, Negombo.

DAY 3
Drive to Dambulla our 5 star Jetwing Lake Hotel
1st stop - Kurunegala,Clock Tower was built in 1922
2nd stop - Dalada maligawa Museum in Kurunegala.
3rd stop - Dambulla check into our 5 star Jetwing Lake Hotel.
4th stop - Sigiriya’s No1 Attraction - this fortress was built on a rock 2500 years ago, get ready to climb 1200 steps!
DAY 4
Drive to Anuradhapura.
Worlds' largest granite statue of Samadhi Buddha, 67.5 feet height, considered one of the best sculptures in world.
Visit the Isurumuniya Temple Lovers Statue, Elephant Pond and royal family carvings in stones.
Visit Ruwanwelisay, one of the tallest Buddhist stupas with a height of 103 m and a very calming place.
Visit Pancavasa located in the Abayagiri Monastery in Anuradhapura.
Visit Thuparamaya is the earliest documented Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka.
Visit Mirisawetiya Dagaba Anuradhapura a huge dome, one of the biggest in Sri Lanka built 161 – 137 BC
Visit the 2000 year old Brazen Palace because the roof was covered with bronze tiles.
Visit the Samadhi Buddha which is depicted in the Dhyana Mudra, the posture of meditation.
DAY 5
An amazing Polonnaruwa ancient city tour and travel back in history.
Let's start off with “Polonnaruwa” Museum.
Visit King’s palace in Polonnaruwa.
Ancient Galviharaya Temple Complex is next.
Next visit “Lotus Pond” in Polonnaruwa.

DAY 6
Dambulla Cave Temple - the cave sanctuary complex, which includes more than 150 Buddha statues and hundreds of colourful paintings.
Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Also known as “Kandy” Temple. The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha.

DAY 7
Famous Royal Botanical Garden in Kandy.
Visit beautiful “Udawatta Kele” Sanctuary.
Nelligala Buddhist Temple is amazingly.
Famous Buddhist Temple situated at Peradeniya. Climb about 500-600 steps to reach to the top.
Kandy National Museum Tour - museum and temple of the tooth relic.

DAY 8
Famous stop over, “Labukale” tea plantation.
Next go from “Little England” to “New Zealand” in Sri Lanka. Visit well known “Ambewela” milk & cheese farms.
Experience tea culture in Sri Lanka, famous Ceylon Tea sitting.
Visit strawberry farm and enjoy a nice fresh strawberry juice & shakes.
We visit Gregory Lake for sunset & walk around in “Little England”
DAY 9
After breakfast leave Nuwara Eliya proceed to Yala.
Proceed to the jungle for a great safari experience in Yala National Park. Yala National Park safari session will be for 3 hours.
Witness Sri Lankan leopards.
Sri Lanka is home to endemic and non-endemic birds.
Witness the giants on land, right next to your safari jeep.
DAY 10
Galle, as it is seen today, is inextricably linked to the great maritime powers of the 16th and 17th Centuries: Portugal, Holland and England,
Portuguese first landing in Galle in 1505, named city Sinhalese word ‘’gala’’ meaning rock.

Exhibits from the Portuguese, Dutch and British period in three main galleries.
Visit Archaeological Museum in Galle Fort, old post office, old library and old Dutch church.
Visit Galle Lighthouse, also known as Pointe de Galle Light.
Visit rare historical jewel protected by dark, thick stone walls & UNESCO declared Heritage site Dutch Fort.
DAY 12
Visit Galle Face Green & Old Parliament in Sri Lanka.
Witness busy Colombo fort bazar, Red mosque & Dutch museum.
“Gangarama” buddhist temple. Independence Square.
DAY 13
The Colombo National Museum, largest in Sri Lanka.
Built in the year 1909 the Jami ul Alfar Mosque aka the Red Mosque due to its candy-stripped walls oldest mosque in Sri Lanka.
Independence Memorial Hall depicts independence of Sri Lanka from British rule.
DAY 14
Free time in the morning.
Say Goodbye to the Sri Lankan section of the tour.
Flight to Maldives (4 days optional) or Flight back to Sydney.
