Los Angeles Skyline Beaver Supermoon

The year wouldn’t be complete without a moon rise over downtown LA. I have serious FOMO when it comes to this shot.

This is a Wednesday. Sunset is at 4:56. Moonrise is at the same time and should hit the top of the mountains 10-15 minutes after that. It’s also a Supermoon!

Bring a chair, water, snacks, tripod, telephoto lens. It’s usually a bit windy and chilly there so dress warm.

Enter Kenneth Hahn State Recreation area from La Cienega Blvd. Keep driving up the hill to the upper park area. There’s a parking lot at the top. Restrooms are near by. We’ll meet at the MLK memorial statue, NOT the viewpoint that’s closer to the parking lot and more obvious. It’s a short walk from the parking area.
