Photo Walk - Chinese New Year - Lunar Lanterns

Details

IMPORTANT NOTE: Meeting point has been changed to Entrance of Chinese Gardens in Darling Harbour.

This walk is ideal for those interested in Night & Street Photography which are both components of Travel Photography.

As it is Chinese New Year "Year of the Snake", we thought we would take the opportunity to photograph the Lunar Lanterns scattered around Chinatown.

DURATION: Approx 2 hours

EQUIPMENT: Camera, lenses (wide/zoom). We suggest you bring the fastest lens you own (eg. 1.4 or 2.8 etc).

PERSONAL: Comfortable walking shoes, water and an umbrella/wet weather jacket (if the weather looks bad).

DISTANCE: This is a fairly short walk (about 2km).

GETTING THERE:

Car - We suggest leaving the car at home or at your closest station car park.

Bus/Train - Catch the train/bus to Central/Town Hall station (or nearest stop).

COST: $5.00 - There is no refund/transfer of fee for cancellations. The cost covers Paypal fee and goes towards the costs of running Meetups and this page. Regulars can contact us to be added to this event.

Minimum of 6 attendees are required to proceed.

Please Note: By clicking RSVP on this event you understand that you are attending AT YOUR OWN RISK. We are just organising the event to allow you to socialise with like-minded people interested in photography and maybe learn something along the way. While all care is taken, no responsibility is taken for any loss or damage/injury to you or your equipment during the event.
