ONLINE: Solo Travel Myths: What’s True, What’s Not, and What Really Matters
Details
This event is part of our regional meetup network! Members from both our East Hub and Central Hub groups will be joining, so you can look forward to connecting with a wider circle of attendees across both hubs.
Solo travel inspires a lot of opinions—some rooted in truth, others shaped by assumptions, outdated ideas, or stories from people who’ve never traveled alone. From “It’s dangerous” to “You must be extremely extroverted,” these myths can influence how we think about our journeys long after we’ve been on the road ourselves.
In this meetup, we’ll unpack some of the most common myths about solo travel and explore how they align—or don’t—with your real experiences. This is a conversation, not a lesson (this is is supposed to be fun!!!). You’re invited to share what you’ve learned, listen to others’ insights, and reflect on the beliefs you may have carried early in your journey.
What to Expect:
- A guided group discussion about the myths you’ve encountered and how your experiences have challenged or confirmed them.
- Space to share stories, perspectives, and the realities of traveling on your own terms.
- Connection time with fellow solo travelers who understand the nuances, joys, and complexities of exploring the world independently.
- A supportive environment where you’re welcome to speak up or simply listen—whatever feels right for you.
How to Join Us:
This gathering will be held online. You’ll find the meeting link on the event page closer to the date of this event.
We look forward to hearing your stories, debunking a few myths together, and continuing to build a community rooted in authenticity and meaningful solo travel.
