Zero To Marathon
Join our weekly Running Club and train for a Marathon, for free, no previous experience required.
We meet every Wednesday for a running session together following our coaching plan, designed to take anyone from absolute beginner to running the Zurich half or full Marathon in 2025.
Format
Our training plan follows progressive goals, so anyone can join based on its level and time available. Each session can be easily adapted by running fewer laps or kilometers.
We have one weekly session together on Wednesday and suggest other running sessions from our training plan to do on your own time and at your pace, so you can schedule them as you see fit. The shared session will be a 1:30hr high-intensity Interval training, better suited for a group where people have different pace and goals. The other sessions are long runs to build endurance, so they are optimal for training by yourself.
Location
The venue is the only free athletics track in Zurich's city center, near Wiedikon. Changing rooms and bathrooms are available in the facility, however there are no lockers on site, so we recommend not to leave anything valuable during the run. The track is booked by the Zurich Athletics run every day, so sometimes we might have to only use one lane for training.
