Treasure Valley Couples Dining Group

This is a group for couples who love to cook and host. Foodies who love sharing their own and enjoying other meals and homes. Age is 40+, you need to be a couple, have a home that can host 6-10 people (target is 8), and be open to meeting new people and sharing some of life's finer culinary moments. It can be all types of cuisine. It needn't include caviar, who turns down a great brisket? The hosts pick a date, plan the menu, the other couples bring wine or other beverages/alcohol to share. We have participated in groups like this for 10 years and have made fabulous lifelong friends. It's a new group even though Mary and I are experienced meetup folks, but this gives you a great chance to build from the ground up.

We will also spend some time exploring restaurants in the area and other activities.The procedure is simple. Here it is:

• Upon joining you must out a date on the books. Once it is, you can attend other events equal to the number of couples you hosted. Anyone can sign up but I will, as needed, rotate attendees to make sure everyone gets a chance to attend.

• Last minute cancellations except for actual emergencies are frowned upon but of course do happen. Life is uncertain. But you'll know the effort you put into hosting so casual changes can really be unpleasant.

• This isn't a pot luck situation. If you find the prospect of planning and executing a meal for 6-10 too daunting or unpleasant this wouldn't be a good fit. Having done it before it's really a pleasure to experience another couple's food and hosting charm. But it isn't everyone's ballgame. But man are there some wonderful home cooks out there! I'm hungry already. Join us!
