Trek In Svaneti (from Mestia to Ushguli)

Hello guys,

I am planning an adventure tour in Upper Svaneti, within which you can visit waterfalls, lakes, glaciers, the highest peaks of the Caucasus, UNESCO heritage Svan towers and ancient villages. Taste Svan cuisine and enjoy unforgettable views.

Day I

Departure from Tbilisi (By minivan – 430 km (6-7 hours) arrival in Mestia, overnight in a guesthouse and dinner. Free evening and walk in the streets of Mestia.

Day II

We will go from Mestia to Becho, where we will visit the Shdugvra waterfall.
The hiking distance is 6 km two ways.

Day III

Departure to the village of Adish, from where we will start hiking and cross the Chkhutnieri pass, we will see the Adish gorge and beautiful panoramic views, we will arrive in the village of Khalde in the evening, where we will be met by a car and will take us to Ushguli, we will spend the night in Ushguli

Day IV

In the morning we will go to see the head of Enguri river and the glacier. Return to Mestia in the evening and stay overnight in a family hotel.
Trekking distance 8 km - 2 ways

Day V

In the morning we will go to Koruldi Lakes
Trekking distance 6 km - 2 ways
Difficulty - medium
In the afternoon we will visit the ethnographic museum of Svaneti and in the evening we will have dinner in a restaurant.

Day VI

Returning to Tbilisi, on the way we will visit the Enguri Dam and have lunch in Zugdidi, where we will taste Magrelian cuisine.
