TREKWILD.ORG

A prominent landmark in Gold Coast, Burleigh Head National Park is a must-visit for all nature lovers. Covering an area of 27 hectares, inside the national park you will find rainforests, eucalyptus forests, pandanus groves, tussock grassland, coastal heath, mangroves, creeks, rocky foreshore, and beaches.

Meet & greet fellow hikers, outdoor lovers, and nature enthusiasts as we explore the Gold Coast's stunning nature by foot. We’ll explore Burleigh’s gorgeous beaches and beautiful bush on this easy coastal loop track.

Event Health & Safety

  • In the event of inclement weather and/or trail conditions, this adventure may be cancelled or postponed to another time or date.

  • Please bring plenty of drinking water and wear appropriate attire, including closed-toe shoes (i.e. hiking boots, trail running sneakers, etc.). No jandals or flip flops please.

  • By registering for this event, you agree to complete the entire event with the TrekWild group; to always stay together in the group without wandering off alone; to conduct yourself in a safe and pleasant manner; to be respectful toward other attendees and the event hosts; and to wear appropriate attire (including closed-toe footwear, like hiking boots, trail runners or sneakers).

  • At all times, you assume a reasonable standard of personal responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others. Please keep this in mind and exercise discretion when selecting outings suitable to your fitness level, especially more challenging events.

  • For a selection of TrekWild's hiking events, trekking poles are strongly recommended, regardless of track difficulty, grade or your experience level. We exercise a "Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it" policy β€” preparedness is everything when you're out in the elements. The right gear can really mean the difference between injury and safety.

  • As with all natural areas, the grounds, track, and surrounding event site may contain minor hazards, like uneven ground, loose stone, sand, slippery areas, exposed tree roots, low hanging tree branches, etc. This can create risk of slipping, falls or other injuries. Be careful with your footing. Please exercise caution at all times on the trails. Before we commence with the outing, we will brief all participants on the area and what to be aware of. TrekWild is not responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged during the event. TrekWild reserves the right to disallow anyone from participating in this event at any time.

  • At any time during this event, we may encounter local Australian wildlife. Many species of animals, insects, and other creatures may be venomous, poisonous, or otherwise hazardous to humans. Encounters with wildlife are often unpredictable and unforeseen, and in some cases cannot be prevented. By agreeing to attend this event, you waive TrekWild of all liability for injuries associated with wildlife encounters, and you agree to exercise caution and avoid direct contact with wildlife at all times during this event.
