An interactive workshop exploring the science behind happiness and how we can cultivate joy whilst working on the world's toughest problems.

Choosing to tackle the world's sustainability problems isn't the easiest path we could all personally take. We're choosing to expose ourselves to the uncomfortable truths of the world, versus just doing what's fast or easy. Spending our days in the depths of global issues can sometimes make it harder to see the joy in life, which is why we must actively work to nurture happiness within ourselves.

This 90 minute interactive workshop will guide you through the science behind happiness, including the roles of dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins, and give you practical tools to lead a joyful life whilst still working on the world's toughest problems.

In this session you'll be guided through a reflective writing practice, inviting you to reflect on your own relationship to happiness, and what you'd like it to feel like going forward. You'll leave the workshop with a personal happiness toolkit, containing four simple, evidence-based practices that you can return to daily to lift your mood and cultivate joy.

“The philosophy and tools should be taught everywhere. Absolutely transformative.”

“Learning the science behind happiness really helped me to connect to the reasons why creating pleasure, purpose and peace in our lives is so important.”

“Happiness training changed my life by helping me realise I have agency over my mental state.”
