LGBT Philosophy Club First Meeting - Topic: Stoicism

This is the first meeting of the Tri-Cities LGBT Philosophy Club. This meeting we will be discussing stoicism, an ancient philosophy which has had an influence that lasts until today. Stoicism is, perhaps, the most popular non-religious philosophy (at least, in the West). With that popularity comes some distortions about what people think the Stoics believed. We will review the philosophy in general, the pros and cons of the philosophy, and how applicable we feel it is to daily life.
