Church Island Kayak Trip

Kayak to Church Island where the Church of Epiphany once stood before towns were flooded to create Lake Marion. Explore the burial ground dating back to 1804. See Osprey, Ibis, egrets, herons and colorful flowers like yellow Water Primrose, purple Pickrelweed. Paddle through moss-draped cypress and tupelos. This is a great trip for history buffs and wildlife enthusiasts.

$35/person to rent kayak/gear- includes kayak, paddle, PFD, whistle and we bring to landing. Call 843-697-2812 by Friday, 8/29/25 to rent. Rentals are paid in advance and provided by Blueway Adventures.

$15/person for those bringing your own kayak/gear (BYOE). Whistle and PFD required (SCDNR). BYOE can bring cash day of the paddle or call to pre-pay. We do not accept Paypal or Venmo.

There are restrooms at this landing. Boat 12' and longer are recommended.
