April Book Club Meeting

In Honor of Arab American Heritage we will be reading "The Beauty of your Face" by Sahar Mustafah.

Also we will be having a book swap after the book discussion! So bring along a book or two you would like to exchange.

Book Club Rules:
-This is a book club for ALL women of color; although we would love to commune and discuss with everyone, we would appreciate if this event remains a safe space for us. Thanks for respecting and supporting this community.
-It is not mandatory to have finished the book to attend the event but of course its a plus.

Synopsis
A Palestinian American woman wrestles with faith, loss, and identity before coming face-to-face with a school shooter in this searing debut.

Afaf Rahman, the daughter of Palestinian immigrants, is the principal of Nurrideen School for Girls, a Muslim school in the Chicago suburbs.
