Welcome fellow Triangle Explorers!
Here you will find a group of curious folks who enjoy learning about the area through interesting, sometimes unique, events meant to open our minds just a bit, maybe learn a thing or two, and connect with others in the area. All ages and types are welcome here. We foster a positive, inclusive environment to create positive experiences for all.
Take a peek at past events to get an idea of what to expect. Normally our events are based on an idea which is fun, quirky, artistic, cultural or off the beaten path, all with the goal of exploring many aspects of the Triangle area alongside some friendly faces.
Some guidelines:
- Ideas are welcome! Please share if you see something interesting that the group may like to attend
- If you sign up for an event and your plans change, please update your RSVP to give someone else a chance to attend (we often have waitlists)
- Treat other Explorers as you would like to be treated

We're back in action with a bang, fellow Explorers! Join us to celebrate flag day by wearing your favorite flag (of any sort) and your sunglasses at night as we rock to new wave hits played spectacularly by local greats Police & Thieves at the scenic northeast Durham vineyard, Zinchouse. Please read the below details, we can't wait to see you!
About the location: Zinchouse Winery and Brewery is beautiful and very popular, so parking is limited. Ridesharing is strongly encouraged. We will be at a table with a bunch of flags, find us there!
About the band: Police and Thieves is an awesome 80s new wave cover band, who are also very popular and really get the crowd dancing. Click the link to hear some of their music, and don't forget those sunglasses to wear once night falls!
About the theme: We don't really know how to celebrate Flag Day, so we made this theme up to fit the occasion and play on "New Wave". Let's wear some flags, or wave some flags, and have a great time!
