Join us for a special evening of programming at the Gregg Museum (part of NC State University) to hear North Carolina's poet laureate, Jaki Shelton Green, speak and present her work. Details are below, and here is a link to register. Event is free and open to the public. Please see these notes about parking.

Event description (from Gregg Museum website):
The Crafts Center and the Gregg Museum of Art & Design are honored to host Jaki Shelton Green for a panel discussion followed by a Q&A in conjunction with the exhibition WORDS = POWER. Green will have a book signing that will include various publications and CDs for sale.

Green is the first African American and third woman to serve as the North Carolina poet laureate. When former Gov. Roy Cooper appointed her in 2018, he stated that “Jaki Shelton Green brings a deep appreciation of our state’s diverse communities to her role as an ambassador of North Carolina literature. Jaki’s appointment is a wonderful new chapter in North Carolina’s rich literary history.”

This event is free, but registration is required.

We look forward to seeing you there!
