Abundance - Ezra Klein

Details
Come join Triangle Heterodox this July in discussing Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson's Abundance.
In the aftermath of the 2024 election, a question has been raised of what the future ideology and electoral strategy of the Democratic Party should be. Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson have served as one voice in this discussion, putting forth an argument for an "abundance liberalism" and "supply-side progressivism" that seeks to address how regulation and the influence of interest groups in housing, scientific development, and infrastructure projects unnecessarily raise the costs of government interventions and public works projects. The vision of the future provided being one of a "larger pie" and removal of scarcity. We'll discuss this idea, as well as the larger discussion over its merits.
Ezra Klein was one of the co-founders of Vox Media, along with Melissa Bell and Matthew Yglesias. He would later go on to become a New York Times writer and host of the Ezra Klein Show podcast. Derek Thompson is a writer for The Atlantic.
