Labor, Automation, and AI - Social Discussion

Details

Are college graduates already seeing the impact of AI automation on the entry-level job market? What are the economics around the impact of automation on jobs? How should we respond to the labor impact of AI?

Come join Triangle Heterodox for a social discussion on the topic of AI automation and its impact on jobs and labor! This is a friendly discussion and we welcome new and old members. We will ask that you read the below three articles and come having thought about these questions:

  1. Do you believe AI will follow the trend of past labor automation and technologies, creating new job types?
  2. What will be the new content types for jobs after AI? Is the "22 New Jobs" article compelling to you on this?
  3. How should we respond to lowered wages or displacement of labor by automation?
