Triangle Japanese Language Social Meetup seeks to provide a Japanese conversation immersion environment for Japanese language learners, with help from native Japanese speakers. Social events include (but are not limited to) such things as outings to Japanese/Asian restaurants and cafes, anime viewing parties, karaoke, and trips to Japanese cultural events in the Triangle area. As our name implies, everyone must speak JAPANESE ONLY at our events (Anyone who willfully ignores this rule may be removed from the group's membership by the Organizer). We kindly ask our members to put aside English for a few hours, in exchange for doing lots of Japanese speaking and listening practice! During an event, if you want to say something, but can’t express it in Japanese, write it in English on a piece of paper and show it to someone who can help you say it in Japanese. In addition, bring a dictionary (electronic or paper) and a small notebook, come with an open mind, and most importantly, just have fun! よろしくおねがいします！
