What we’re about
We come together twice a month to study nondualistic teachings, with an emphasis on Advaita Vedanta. All are welcome to join our meetings, even if you are not from the Triangle area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill NC). We currently host meetings online via Zoom, which we initially started during COVID but have continued due to the number of people from all over the country (and world) that join.
Each gathering is in a 'read and discuss' style format. It is important to the group that we live the teachings of nondualism by giving equal respect to all attendees as both teachers and students. Therefore, everyone who attends is welcome to contribute their reflections and pose questions to the group on the current book selection as well as nonduality in general. We focus on the practical, day-to-day, application of the teachings, and also serve as a support group as we collectively integrate these transformative practices into our own lives.
To get a better idea of the texts we will be reading, our first two selections are “Be As You Are, the Teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi” as edited by David Godman, and “I Am That, Talks with Nisargadatta Maharaj.”
Please contact the group organizers for more information. We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you at our next meeting!
