What we’re about
Social dance is a way to exercise and connect with other people. Triangle Social Dance offers a calendar of contra dances and waltzes in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro.
Be sure to read the COVID protocols for each dance. RSVP is not required to attend.
Join our group if....
- you want to meet new people in a low intensity setting
- you want to learn to dance
- you want to have fun
- you want to keep up to date on social dance opportunities
Contra Dancing
Contra is a community dance with a caller explaining the moves of each dance. It’s a great way to get started with dancing. No partner is required.
Wear comfortable shoes with a low heel. Leather soles are preferred. Be prepared for lots of movement.
Waltzing
Waltzing is a couples dance with a standard step. Feel free to come alone or with a partner. I think this is one of the easier dances to learn as a couple.
Questions?
Send a message to Russ if you have questions about the dances or the Meetup.
