Enrollment is now CLOSED. The next beginner class will open in August!
This class is open to beginner members of the Napoleonic Fencing class, or those looking to refresh their understanding of basic concepts.
This class focuses on learning British Sabre, Broadsword, & Spadroon fencing from the late 18th - early 19th Centuries. The current focus of the class is Charles Roworth's The Art of Defence on Foot, supplemented with Captain George Sinclair's Anti-Pugilism / Cudgel Playing Modernized and Improved and Thomas Mathewson's Fencing Familiarized; A New Treatise on the Art of the Scotch Broad Sword. This class aims to familiarize beginner students with the basic concepts of sabre and broadsword fencing.
