Working with Geospatial Data in R

Hi Triangle useRs,

R provides many tools for working with geospatial data. In this meetup at 6:30pm on Thursday, June 18 at the Cameron Village Regional Library in Raleigh, I will talk about what forms geospatial data can take, and provide an overview of some of the facilities R provides for reading, writing, manipulating, and analyzing geospatial data. I will show demonstrations using R and Spotfire, and we'll talk about what other tools and techniques folks are using to work with geospatial data.
