Workaholics Anonymous – Durham (Secular / Peer-Facilitated)
Format: Monthly Zoom meeting (60 minutes)
Location: Durham, NC (Zoom; optional in-person meetups)
Focus: Secular recovery from workaholism
This is a secular, peer-facilitated Workaholics Anonymous–style group for people seeking support around compulsive overworking and work-life imbalance. The group does not use the Red Book or spiritual language.
Meetings follow a consistent, shared structure that supports safety, equal participation, and mutual respect. Facilitation is light and shared, with simple roles (such as timekeeping or reading the opening) rotating among participants.
Meeting Structure (60 minutes):
• Brief opening and group agreements
• Timed check-in round
• Topic-based discussion
• Closing
In addition to the monthly Zoom meeting, the group may organize optional casual in-person meetups (e.g., coffee or a meal) for those who wish to connect informally in Durham, NC.
This group is intended for people who are comfortable in a peer-led setting and are looking for a secular recovery space focused on shared experience.
