About us
Welcome knitters and crocheters in the Triangle area! Our intention is to provide a space where we can craft together and share projects, techniques, and stories. We value an inclusive and welcoming environment where we prioritize respectful listening, balanced participation, and supportive dialogue. All skill levels are welcome. We are all ages, all backgrounds, and we always welcome new people. Join us as we continue to foster these important values and support a vibrant community of knitters and crocheters!
A few notes about the group . . .
- Annual Dues: We ask for $5 annual membership dues to help cover the cost of our Meetup platform fees. New members are welcome to try out two or three meetups within six months of joining before dues are required. Yearly dues are due by the end of February and can be paid via Venmo to Alice (@AliceFrench1023 / Venmo) or directly to the meetup host. Please also fill out our Google Form so we can keep our records straight. (Please note that dues are non-refundable, and we periodically remove inactive unpaid members to manage our roster size.)
- RSVPs: If you RSVP, please plan to attend, and update your RSVP promptly if your plans change so someone else can take your spot. We have to limit the RSVP number due to limited seating.
- Early Arrivals: If you are the first one to arrive, don't panic - crafters are on the way! Grab a coffee or snack or stake out a spacious table with plenty of chairs.
To ensure a positive experience for everyone, please follow our code of conduct:
Kindness & Respect: We aim to be a welcoming and supportive group. Treat all members with respect and courtesy. Remember that everyone is at a different skill level. Be patient and encouraging. Be a good guest of the places where we meet.
No Self-Promotion: This group is for sharing your passion for the fiber arts, not for promoting your business. Admin approval is required for all promotional or affiliate link posts.
Keep it light: Our meetups provide a respite from the daily grind. When in doubt, please keep the main focus of the group on the fiber arts. We prioritize respectful listening, balanced participation, and supportive dialogue.
