What is RocksDB? How does it plugin to MySQL? Why would you want to switch from your conventional InnoDB storage to MyRocks? There are a lot of questions surrounding the new MyRocks Engine. I’d like to provide a quick visual tour of what it is and where it came from as well as what the benefits are put simply for people familiar with MySQL. Also covered will be how to get started playing with the storage engine yourself.
