On Sept 18th, Alexander Rubin will be presenting about real world practices on securing PII data on MySQL databases. Below is the abstract of his presentation.

Protecting PII data is one of the biggest challenges of a security-minded DBA. But when you add a requirement to allow customers to have direct access to a database replica, it will make the life of a DBA a nightmare. VirtualHealth deals with medical data. In this talk, Alexander shares his experience of how to implement customer authentication, authorization, and data isolation in MySQL.
We will start letting folks in around 6:30, talks will start 7PM, network and discussions after the main presentations. Join us for learning, networking, pizza and drinks!
