A Return To Normalcy. Lets restart MySQL meetup series and talk about some topic on MySQL and opensource databases. This will be in person event (216 E Lenoir St · Raleigh, NC).

And the topic is... Matt Yonkovit, Head of Open Source Strategy at Percona will do a presentation an a live demo of Finding and Fixing Application Bottlenecks With Open Source Tools.

All applications that use databases will eventually run into a database bottleneck or slowdown. Being able to quickly find and resolve those bottlenecks will be the difference between happy users and angry users. We will walk you through how to use PMM and other Open Source tools to monitor performance and look for issues. We will use the "Yonk Box" an arcade controller built & designed to control a MySQL ( or PostgreSQL ) database application to generate load and inject a little chaos into the system then as a group we will find those issues generated and fix them... seeing the before and after effects.

I personally want to see the "Yonk Box" and how to use it to control MySQL. (Alex)
