Topsail Beach, Dogs Off Leash!

Anyone else want to come play at an off-leash dog beach??

A bunch of us are headed out to Topsail Beach, NC which has an off-leash dog beach at Public Beach Access #9. Yes, I said off-leash! Woohoo! :D

Of course, dogs must be under voice command on the beach.

Topsail Beach is approx 3hrs away from Raleigh-Durham. It's a bit of a long drive so we plan on leaving home at around 8am to hopefully beat some traffic.

• We will meet on the dog beach at 11am.
• Parking and restrooms are available on site.
• Bring plenty of fresh water and a bowl for your dog
• Don't forget clean-up bags, not sure if they're provided @ the beach
• For dogs who don't know how to swim or pups, you may want to bring an extra long leash to help coax them in/out of the water, that way it's fun for them
• Stay and play for as little or as long as you'd like! My husband Joe and I plan on staying at the beach/in the area with our little family til around 4pm, then heading back home.

FYI I hear Topsail Beach is in general a very dog-friendly town + they allow dogs on the beach, off-leash, but only til May 15th. From their website: "Yes, dogs are allowed, but they must be on a leash from May 15th through September 30th. At other times the dog must be under voice command of a responsible person, but does not have to be on a leash. The person must always be prepared to remove any "deposits" left by the dog. These regulations apply to the entire town including the beach."
