Hungarian Grand Prix

Details
For the second time in as many years, Spa was decided by someone choosing the right time to switch tires and then running them long past when anyone in the paddock expected them to last. I'm beginning to suspect that Pirelli is either lying about their tires or don't understand them at all. Additionally, whatever benefits come from the ground effects cars, the combination of these rules and the Pirelli tires has completely eliminated the ability to run in the wet.
The FIA's reluctance to set the cars free on a wet track was the largest factor in who was able to do well in the race. It's an accepted part of F1 that whichever team manages to figure out the best way to exploit the rules will generally be at the front. However, it does seem like the FIA has recently become a much larger part of the outcome of individual races. Maybe I'm just being "grumpy old man" but I am feeling nostalgic for smaller, less reliable cars.
Notable performances-
-Yuki got made Q2 in sprint qually and Q3 in the race qually. He was notably more relaxed and looked pretty comfortable in the car.
-Bortaletto outqualified Hulkenberg in both sessions and scored points again. I know he's in a crappy car, but he's definitely showing us some real talent.
-Ocon shined in the sprint and got a couple more points for HAAS. They're challenging AM with a much smaller budget.
Notable Misses-
-Speaking of Aston Martin, let's not.
-Colapinto had another weekend to forget and rumors are that his seat is under threat.
-Sainz chose to switch to a wet set-up after qualifying and ... well, that didn't work out.
The teams head straight to Hungary. We're back at the Goat. Hope to see you there!
