FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX 2026

It seems like all the coverage of last week's inaugural race at the Madring is focused on how boring the race was. I didn't feel like that at all, probably because I got to share the experience with other F1 fans at our meetup!

There's definitely a consensus that changes have to be made to the track before next year's race, which the organizers agreed with. I'm pretty sure they're proposed changes for next year were released before the halfway point of this year's race.

This week's race in Azerbaijan has been moved to Saturday to avoid conflict with Remembrance Day. (The local equivalent of Memorial Day) Not sure why the organizers didn't think of that in advance, but here we are. It's also possible that the race weekend was rescheduled at some point this year due to parts of the world being on fire.

Jeff is hosting us for this unusual race day and time. Attendance is limited and if you get there during the first few laps, you'll have to wait until the race settles down before he'll let you in!
