사물놀이 (Samulnori) Traditional Korean Music Workshop

Come experience Korean traditional music in a 사물놀이 workshop with 지숙 쌤 and 영진 쌤. They have offered to teach our Meetup 사물놀이 traditional Korean music on June 22, 2025 at 4:30 PM.

Samulnori uses four instruments, each of which symbolize an element of nature:

• Janggu represents the rain and is hourglass shaped
• Buk represents the clouds and is a barrel drum
• Jing represents the wind and is a large gong
• Kkwaenggari is a small handheld gong that represents thunder

This will be a paid event with a cost of $10 or $15 if you would like to donate a little bit extra for our teacher Jisook. She can be paid directly before the event begins. If you would really like to go and cannot afford it, please RSVP and reach out to me (Carin) privately.
