Our meeting is next Wed evening in our normal iContact location.? Topic will be at least partly open Q&A, but we may have a guest presenter from Preation.com demoing their new CMS as well.? That's unconfirmed at this point, but might happen next meeting.
Simon has typically helped manage meetings in the past when I couldn't be there (thanks Simon!), and I'll continue to lean on him from time to time.? However, Bryan Pearson is now officially an assistant organizer with the group (really, go look at his profile on the mysql.meetup.com/144
page!)? Bryan's going to help out answering questions on the list, helping promote the group via our websites (tripug.org
) and all around help the group get better.
Also, we've just created a twitter account - http://twitter.com/tripug
- to help us get the word out about PHP/MySQL stuff in the area.? Follow @tripug to keep up with things and learn when the meetings are!
Also, I'll reiterate this again - this is your group.? We'll only be as successful and useful as the contributions from you.? Whether that's contributing questions, or answers, or topics for discussion, or presentations, or feedback, or whatever, we need you!? Email me privately or email the list with your suggestions as to what you'd like to see happen with the group.
We had an offer to host the group at Bronto's headquarters up in Durham for a later meeting.? Will more of you come if it's up there?? Fewer of you?? What impact would that have?? Should we look at having multiple meetings per month around the triangle area to help more people get to at least one?
