Meet others from the area who are pet rabbit owners and fans of rabbits as house pets. We advocate housing rabbits indoors. Join us to talk about the care, housing, feeding and health of our pet rabbits. We will share our personal experiences in caring for these curious creatures, thereby enhancing their lives and ours. We will build awareness and support for adoption of rescued rabbits. And we might also be able to share pet-sitting services and other resources. Those who are interested in rabbit rescue are also welcome, but we are not a rescue group -- and we do not have resources to re-home rabbits. (If you are looking to re-home a rabbit. please see "Surrender Information" in Files for local rescue group contact information.)
Join us for our summer workshop! We will discuss all the basics you need to know about your rabbit - litter training, diet, housing, common health issues, and how to create a safe, enriched environment. You will have the opportunity to practice your toy building skills and take home a jumbo busy box and ball toss toy for your rabbit.
Cost of this workshop is $15, and seating is limited! You must have a ticket to attend! Tickets: https://bit.ly/2IB9LlS. Your ticket counts as your RSVP. Light snacks will be provided. You may bring bagged lunch to eat during class break.
This workshop is co-hosted by the SPCA of Wake County, and will be held in the SPCA's Critter Cafe, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh.
