State of US SpaceLaunch CapabilitiesDescription: From the end of the space shuttle program, through new capabilities to reach low Earth orbit and the moon from nearby Virginia, and what is coming next from NASA and its commercial partners.
Speaker Bio: Tony Rice; NASA/JPL Ambassador and NASA Langley Research Center speakers bureau member; speaks on solar system exploration in schools, museums and planetariums throughout the Carolinas, Virginia and beyond. He's at home talking space in mission control, the flame trench of an Apollo/Space Shuttle launch pad, or a 3rd grade classroom. Contributor to WRAL on spaceflight and astronomy topics.
Parking Directions:
From Varsity Dr, turn into the road that leads to the parking decks behind the WebAssign building. Park in the parking deck marked by the X and walk up the stairs to the back entrance as indicated. Someone will open the door for you. There is an entrance facing Main Campus Dr, but we may not have someone at that door, so please park in the parking deck in the back. There will be no towing after 6pm, and parking will be free and plentiful.
